Deterministic Graphical Games Revisited
نویسندگان
چکیده
We revisit the deterministic graphical games of Washburn. A deterministic graphical game can be described as a simple stochastic game (a notion due to Anne Condon), except that we allow arbitrary real payoffs but disallow moves of chance. We study the complexity of solving deterministic graphical games and obtain an almost-linear time comparison-based algorithm for computing an equilibrium of such a game. The existence of a linear time comparison-based algorithm remains an open problem.

Bottleneck Paths and Trees and Deterministic Graphical Games
Gabow and Tarjan showed that the Bottleneck Path (BP) problem, i.e., finding a path between a given source and a given target in a weighted directed graph whose largest edge weight is minimized, as well as the Bottleneck spanning tree (BST) problem, i.e., finding a directed spanning tree rooted at a given vertex whose largest edge weight is minimized, can both be solved deterministically in O(m...
متن کاملConstraint Games revisited
Constraint Games are a recent framework proposed to model and solve static games where Constraint Programming is used to express players preferences. In this paper, we rethink their solving technique in terms of constraint propagation by considering players preferences as global constraints. It yields not only a more elegant but also a more efficient framework. Our new complete solver is faster...
متن کاملTemporal Action-Graph Games: A New Representation for Dynamic Games
In this paper we introduce temporal action graph games (TAGGs), a novel graphical representation of imperfect-information extensive form games. We show that when a game involves anonymity or context-specific utility independencies, its encoding as a TAGG can be much more compact than its direct encoding as a multiagent influence diagram (MAID). We also show that TAGGs can be understood as indir...
متن کاملNash Equilibrium in Graphical Games and Stochastic Graphical Games
In this paper, graphical games, a compact graphical representation for multi-player game theory is introduced. Various Nash equilibrium computing algorithms for graphical games are reviewed and a naive join tree base approximate Nash equilibrium computing algorithm is proposed. The proposed algorithm can be efficiently used in graphical games with arbitrary underlying structure. Graphical repre...
متن کاملGraphical Potential Games
Potential games, originally introduced in the early 1990’s by Lloyd Shapley, the 2012 Nobel Laureate in Economics, and his colleague Dov Monderer, are a very important class of models in game theory. They have special properties such as the existence of Nash equilibria in pure strategies. This note introduces graphical versions of potential games. Special cases of graphical potential games have...
